Three Cheers for Moses

2 05 2012

(Moses had no clue I was writing this post about him, but I figured a guy who gives so much to his community deserves an applause once in awhile)

Cheer #1: Moses (our Inspiration Centre director, for those of you who weren’t aware) has tirelessly poured his heart and soul into this organization for years. He’s an inspiration to us all. Without him, there would be no Inspiration Centre. But instead of relishing in a power trip, he’s always looking to improve IC in ways that will empower its members and sustain the centre even after he’s not there. His leadership is something we should all emulate.

Cheer #2: Moses recently got ENGAGED! He proposed to his (now) fiance Celmali Jaime in February. The couple met four years ago at the Inspiration Centre. Celmali was working for Build A Bridge International, the American organization which has helped us put on our art camps for the last several years. Congratulations to the couple! They plan to wed in August in Nairobi.

Cheer #3: In addition to running the Inspiration Centre, Moses has been  studying for his masters degree. After putting in many hours and three years, he will be graduating this May 19th with an MA Global Urban Leadership (MAGUL). “Volunteering, leading the ministry and studying at the same time has been quite challenging but with the support from friends, Bakke Graduate University and Inspiration Centre, I was able to overcome all the challenges. Thank you all!!”

Congratulations Moses, you rock!
